ARTSA-i now has a formal presence on the popular professional networking site, “LinkedIn.” A new LinkedIn Group, titled “ARTSA -i” is open to all ARTSA-i members and non-members alike. We welcome non-members to the Group because we see it as a means for showcasing what ARTSA-I is all about and, with a bit of luck, attracting new members to ARTSA-i.
The ARTSA-i Group provides a mechanism for members of the Group to post information relevant to ARTSA-i's interests, such as details of conferences, workshops and seminars, announcements of ARTSA-i’s activities and achievements, etc. Group members may comment on these posts, so posts may be used as a way to initiate discussion on various topics.
Anyone who is a member of the Group may invite others to join. If you are a member and you know of somebody on LinkedIn who you would like to see join the Group, you can click on “Share group” just below the search box when you are on the ARTSA-I Group page. You have the option of sharing it with your LinkedIn connections (individuals or all connections), other Groups, and even people who aren’t on LinkedIn if you have their email address.
If you don’t have a profile on LinkedIn, getting started is easy. Just go to www.linkedin.com and enter your first name, last name, email address and password in the fields on the right and click “Join Now.” Then put some basic information into your profile, i.e. at least your current job title and company name, so that others on LinkedIn know who you are.
